In an effort to boost the Tech for Good and Social Innovation ecosystem in India, NASSCOM Social Innovation Forum, this year, has joined hands with the Vodafone Foundation for the ‘Mobile for Good’ (M4G) program. A flagship initiative of the Vodafone Foundation, the Mobile for Good Awards recognise and support emerging talent and innovative mobile solutions from NGOs/NFPs, Social Enterprises and the Government that facilitate community empowerment and inclusive growth. The platform awards and provides seed grants to the best projects and support the projects to maximise impact to beneficiaries.
Powered by NSIF, this year, the Mobile for Good Awards are all set to reach newer heights. This year grant money amounting to INR 60 Lakhs will be awarded to winning NGOs/NPOs that are using mobile and wireless technology effectively to bring social change.
The 2015 Awards consist of two Awards categories, namely:
'Leading Change Maker – NPO Category' - This category will recognise five best-practice NGOs and NPOs.
