Session on "Corporate Volunteering: An employee engagement tool"

Most of the IT-BPM companies have some form of employee volunteering integrated, targeted towards internal (company-related) or external (community-related) activities. Community organizations too, engage with corporate volunteering programs, to seek financial and volunteer support. This creates a philanthropic and non-strategic approach to use the available talent-pool rather than a studied input of talent and workforce for real needs. Volunteering model then becomes unsustainable, bringing both employee fatigue and partner dissatisfaction.

NASSCOM Foundation is organizing a session on "Corporate Volunteering: An employee engagement tool" on 24th July, 2013. The hour long session will focus on these issues and cover key areas such as: Relevance of volunteering in the changing dynamics of the industry, whether it is a game changer as far employee retention and other HR benefits are concerned and finally how can a vibrant volunteering model be used as a robust tool for employee engagement.
