Conclave on "Employee Engagement as part of CSR initiatives across the Spectrum"

IBM’s Corporate Citizenship team in association with NASSCOM Foundation will be organizing a conclave to highlight the growing relevance of employee engagement within the realm of CSR initiatives. The event is being organized to celebrate the 5th anniversary of IBM’s flagship Corporate Service Corps (CSC) program; will be a confluence of best practices within the sphere of corporate volunteering and would facilitate cross industry learning and adoption of the various intervention models within the space of volunteering.

10:30 A.M – 11:30 A.M –“Building leaders of tomorrow through volunteering: IBM way” – A Panel discussion on IBM’s Corporate Service Corps program

The panel discussion on IBM’s CSC model is an attempt to understand the journey of a global initiative which over the years has evolved into a grooming platform for young IBMers aspiring to be leaders of tomorrow. Volunteerism is playing a vital role within this Employee Engagement programme which has transformed itself into Learning and Development platform; a giant yet ambitious leap.

The panel would also explore the nuances of a CSR initiative which has enabled NGOs across its area of intervention to adopt a much broader path of empowerment.

The session ‘Connecting the dots: cross industry sharing of volunteering trends’ is designed to bring together the HR/CSR heads of the various organizations from diverse industries to explore a cross industry perspective on volunteering and how volunteering is an effective employee engagement tool and share the best-practices, learning and the challenges in employee volunteering. Through this session, we will attempt to answer the Why and how of corporate volunteering.

3:50 – 4:30 – Performance by Dance group from Samarthanam (An NGO working for Persons with Disabilities)

4:30 – 4:45 P.M – Closing ceremony
