Integrating CSR into Business Strategy of IT-BPM companies for maximising social impact in light of Section-135, Companies Act, 2013 -- A Google Hangout

The New CSR regulations emerging from Section 135 of the Companies Act 2013, has opened up opportunities for the IT sector to build a sustainable CSR strategy. Sensing this need, NASSCOM Foundation, in association with NextGen took a lead by bringing industry leaders on a platform to share the strategies that their companies are working on, and to share how collaboration can bring about maximum impact on inclusive growth.


NASSCOM Foundation organised a Google hangout session with the IT-BPM companies on Section-135 of the New Companies Act, 2013. The session titled ‘Integrating CSR into Business Strategy’ brought together leaders form the industry who shared their company strategies on CSR and talked about how collaboration can bring about maximum impact towards achieving inclusive growth.

Speaking about Genpact’s CSR policies and plans, Mohit Thukral, Genpact Officer and Senior Vice President said ‘CSR is part of our DNA, that’s what we do, part of who we are. At Genpact, we’re focusing on the three areas that we've picked up as an organization and keeping it very narrow. These are Impact Sourcing, Financial Inclusion & Environment sustainability.’
