Challenge: Every day several women, young girls, kids and elderly people from all walks of life are being assaulted, and violated. The streets, public transport, public spaces in particular have become the territory of the molesters. They find themselves totally helpless, unprotected and no longer safe in their own country.

Innovation: The standalone gadget developed by Piyush Aggarwal in the Computer Science department of IIT Delhi send notifications as SMS messages to pre-fed numbers of family and friends. Also, using this gadget, Family members or friends can remotely track the location of the user by just sending a SMS. Piyush and his team is carrying out further research to miniaturize the design and make the product power friendly before launching it in the market.
