A strong professional with good experience in the Industry and fair understanding of Technology ecosystem. Enthusiasm to learn, Multi-tasker, collaborative, solution-driven and Interactive. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

The programs aim at establishing technology makerspaces in different universities in India, to create opportunities for young students to develop their skills and build habits of innovative thinking while getting hands-on experience tinkering with emerging technologies. Program participants will aim to build scalable technology solutions for local problems, creating start-ups in the process. The program will lead to skill development and employment generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the program activities across multiple partner universities
  • Plan and conduct outreach activities in assigned universities to create awareness of the program, facilitate idea submission process and launch cohorts as per timelines
  • Support students mentoring by tech experts by coordinating mentoring calls, workshops, webinars and any other event
  • Manage the local purchases of teams by collecting requests, disbursing funds and collecting proofs of purchases
  • Coordinate with SPOCs and Student Body to ensure smooth functioning of makerspaces and all program activities
  • Collate program data (footfall, workshop/hackathon attendance, no. of active projects) and create period progress reports as per the guidance of Program Manager
  • Report to the Program Manager and carry out any programmatic activities applicable to the assigned universities

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in managing a Makerspace
  • Proven ability of working in innovative and high end technology environment
  • Technically adept and knowledgeable of recent technologies
  • Content writing skills including articles, case studies, interviews, newsletters
  • Any experience in University connect programs will be an added advantage 
  • Essential:
    • Good communication skills in English – written and verbal.
    • Content writing experience along with presentation skills
    • Proficient in MS Excel and Google suite
  • Desired:
    • Strong Marketing & Communication experience
    • Good connects in social development space and Tech Industry
    • Stakeholder management and Engagement
    • Secondary research for information
    • Prior experience in handling events/workshops 
  • The position will be for a fixed period till 30th June 2022, extendable upon extension of the project.
  • Salary as per experience and organisations norms.
